Bouldering trip to Triassic

We thought it would be an adventure taking Eider, a three month old, and Danni Girl our dog on a bouldering trip....boy was it ever an adventure! Actually, I would call it more of an experiment gone wrong -- very wrong! We won't be packing those two up until they're both a bit more grown up!
Eider cried all day and the dog kept running away -- needless to say Jess and I didn't get much climbing in...but, it wasn't a complete loss of a good day...we got a few good pictures of everyone.

Here are some of my favorites below, but if you click this link, you can see all of our pictures.

torn up bleeding hands + chalk under the fingernails = great day of climbing!

  1. I'm smiling here because when Porter was about three months old we figured it was high time to take him on a hike in the San Rafael swell. The day was going great until Mike forgot that Porter was in a pack on his back and jumped from one boulder to another. Porter smacked his face and decided to hate hiking the rest of the day! He cried for about 3 hours because we were only half way through the hike. We still had to get back to the car. It was a bad, bad day! But I LOVE the last picture of Jess and Eider. Good job!
